Rust > F#: more polished, richer ecosystem — SQLx with compile-time checked queries, serde’s superior enum JSON support, seamless TypeScript API type generation via OpenAPI, and markdown docs as a first-class source for LLMs.

Frontend: SolidJS > Angular > React. SolidJS: no runtime (predictable when compiled), simple use of 3rd party libraries due to trivial lifetime (no need for usual react/angular wrapper dance), lightning-fast component tests. Angular: slow tests, CSS quirks, but I like RxJS. React: tired of the re-render dance with hook memoization (useMemo/useCallback dependency arrays). Fan of Tailwind.

NixOS > Cloud/Docker: prefer declarative/immutable approach — Nix for developer environments, deploy-rs for managing machines in an atomic, unified way.

pi > opencode / Claude Code / codex: customizable user workflows, vibe-coded extensions wrapping cli tools (e.g. ast-grep), full context control, model-agnostic.
